Fedora is the first distro to use AIGLX, and Novell recently released Source for XGL....

AIGLX apparantly doesn't require you to switch X servers or anything massive, and I'm not sure about Novel's XGL, but my question is this:

When can I expect to be able to run an OpenGL rendered X server on my Gentoo box?

Found this link in the last issue of the distrowatch weekly newsletter: http://blog.cardoe.com/archives/2006/02/16/xgl/ it should allow you to use XGL under gentoo. HTH.

Nice, you're the first person who has said anything about the qoute! I just figured no one knew where it was from.
