I just installed Mandrake 8.1.I tried to configure X on my Intel i810 chipset but it is not working.Whatever VRAM i enter the error flashed is '16384kb of VRAM requested'
and 'Less than 6 MB of AGP memory available'.
I had previosly configured X in Red Hat 7.1 with 800x600 and 16bpp.I have 4MB of VRAM.I tried editing xfconfig file and made relevant changes but it did not work. Can you help me out ?

I'm not sure what the redhat x configuration program is but I bet it's easier to use that than to manually edit the file.

That chipset is fairly common...

In debian we have our own config tool, and that one doesn't require that you enter an amount of ram on the video card. I think it can figure it out automatically if you leave it blank or something...
