Thanks Tyr-7BE 03-28-2001, 06:29 PM fserves work the same as dcc chat no? ZeNN 03-28-2001, 07:33 PM Yeah, but when i type the trigger, instead of opening the server dialog in another window, it opens it in the room. When i try to give commands, it dumps the commands into the room. I'm not quite sure how to give commands to the actual dcc fserv. Any suggestions? Tyr-7BE 03-28-2001, 07:56 PM Wish I could help, but I can't :( I use XChat for fserves, and it works like a dream. quandary 03-28-2001, 08:20 PM In *****X (if sending commands to an fserve works the same way as regular DCC chat...), after you accept the DCC chat request, hit the tab key till you see /msg =botname appear, then type whatever command you want to DCC to the bot. If you want to devote a separate window to the DCC session, just type /q =botname in that window, and you can just send commands to the bot by typing directly into that window without pressing the tab key. Hope this is clear/helpful. blah 03-28-2001, 08:40 PM Something else that I like to do is put the query in a different window..try this.... /window new hide then hit alt F2 and it should of put you in a different window. Makes it soo much easier to keep track of who you are talking to. You can also join more then 1 channel that way, and even connect to another server if you want. quandary 03-28-2001, 08:51 PM Actually you'd need to hit just alt-2 to swap to the new window in that case, instead of F2. Or, you could type /window new hide swap last to have it take you to the new window automatically. (Or set up an alias to do this for you, etc.) justlinux.com
