Could you guys give me some links where I could find Linux versions of some Windows programs? I'm looking for AIM, ICQ, and Quake 2. Thanks a whole bunch. ;)

Check out Tucows (http://www.tucows.com/), they have a really good Linux section. Some popular ICQ programs are mICQ and licq. Either of those will work. If you head to AIM Web Page (http://www.aol.com/aim/), you can find a Linux version of AOL Instant Messanger.

Do not download the version of AIM from AOL's website. It is old and buggy. You are much better of getting a free clone of the AIM client, such as GAIM. This can be downloaded from http://www.marko.net/gaim. (http://www.marko.net/gaim) As far as Quake 2 goes, there is a Quake 2 HOWTO floating around somewhere on the Web. I'm sure you'll be able to find it. Provided that you have the Windows version of the game, you simply need to download the Linux binaries and then install them and mess with a few files. It can be pretty painless. Good luck!
