Can you open two instances of xconfig at the same time?

I'm trying to get my 2.4 kernel to function as my 2.2 kernel did.

Can I open up one instance of make xconfig and while that's still open, open another and load in the old config file from 2.2 so I can alternate and compare options?

I don't see why not.

Basicly, in X, start two terminals. type make xconfig in both...then load the files you want.
