When deleteing Fedora Core from the dual boot with Windows XP which uses the GRUB bootloader in the mbr.Would I have to run fixmbr on Windows XP to make it boot

If you get a Grub prompt you can boot any system. That means any Dos, Windows, Linux, BSd, Solaris and even Darwin x86. The catch is you have to type 2 to 3 lines to boot each system manually. justlinux.com
