Is it possibly to have a reguler nic in my linux box take in my cable connection, and then use a wireless nic to send dhcp to another nic in my house without using any kind of access point?
Or anyone else have a better solution?
I need to get a cable connection my my room with no wires..

Should work, assuming your wireless stuff is 1) linux compatable and 2) doesn't require a access point.
The wireless I use here at work is sw33t, but damm expensive... cheaper for us than running wires, etc. though...

Do you know of any wireless nics that are linux compatible? and don't need an accesspoint?

Only wireless stuff I've had experience with is the Cisco stuff, formerly known as Aironet. You may want to check them out, although it is pricey. Also check 3com and SMC out - they are now in the wireless game as well.
