Bass/Treble with SBLive?

I use the SBLive value and to my surprise I get no treble/bass in the mixer (either K or Gnome). I run RH7.2 and either stock (2.4.7-10) or other kernels (2.4.13 and 2.4.17) haven't change anything.

Any ideas (the SB16 shows bass/treble out of the box btw).

CFLAGS += -DTONE_CONTROL should be added to the Makefile


You need to edit the /usr/src/linux/drivers/sound/emu10k1/Makefile and add this line. I've not tried this, I normally use the ALSA drivers, but you might give it a shot.

If you are using the module from Creative (http://opensource.creative.com) it speaks of this and contains tools.

Thank you both, I used the creative tools to set it up.

BTW are the asla drivers beter in any way? Any recommendations?
