Linux based hosting in California?

Can anyone recommend a good hosting company that based in California and has MySQL >=4.1? Right now I'm with 'A Small Orange' and though they're a decent host, I run a site that's California specific so I'd like to get a away from routing all of the traffic to Georgia and back. PHP 5 would be nice but not as important as MySQL. I'm looking for standard shared hosting right now but will be moving to (virtual) dedicated hosting eventually so that might be a factor as well.

Just get a virtual machine at linode.com - I've had one of the $20 ones for 2 months now and I'm *very* pleased with it. They have data centers in Dallas and I think somewhere in Wash state or Oregon.

I was just about to suggest a VPS (User mode Linux) in general and Linode in particular! They have a datacenter at Hurricane Electric in Freemont, CA.

I now have 3 large VPS servers with Linode, and have grown out my Internet business several orders of magnitude!
