sendmail info help

I am trying to set up my apache/sendmail server. I have apche up and running and i have sendmail installed. I am using webmin now ( that thing is cool) however i can seem to get sendmail going. Granted i know little about it. Anyone wann help... :rolleyes:

Im about uninstall sendmailand postfix...
I will then reinstall from there. Anyone wanna give me a hand after a fresh install let me know. Also I have www.mydomain.com (http://www.mydomain.com) registered do i need mail.mydomain.com also registered??? I went to www.register.com (http://www.register.com) and added mail.mydomain.com to point to the same place as www.mydomian.com. (http://www.mydomian.com.) Is that right. I didnt have to register it seperate so i assume its right. Apparently i dont understand DNS all that well after all.

Sendmail should ask you some questions right off the bat (at least I think...I've only ever apt-gotten it :D). If it doesn't, I'm positive that there's an easy-to-use config utility out there somewhere. Provided your mydomain.com points to your ip, you should be set to go.

I am using Mandrake 7.2 on this box. I will install via rpm.... you know what config util... Have you everused webmin???
Before I notice that when i type sendmail-bd ( to try to start it as a deamon ) it would load something to do with postfix... Is that right? what does postfix have to do with sendmail...
