I need a vpn client to connect to work. At work they are using vpnclient from Cisco but they only use windows. I have redhat 9.
I have tried installing vpnclient-linux and openswan but had errors during installation. I want a simple vpn client that will support a ipsec/ucp connection. Where can I find one simple to install at no or low cost?

I use OpenVPN (http://openvpn.net/), but I've no idea whether it meets your requirements....

I've got a similar problem with my school... The program that seems the most promising is kvpnc, which uses openvpn, openswan, and a bunch of other things. It lets you import the cisco .pcf files and decode a shared password.
I've tried many times at my school and it just doesn't work. I must be doing something wrong and I don't know exactly what... You'll get hints for the setup from looking in the .pcf file btw.
Good luck!

Cisco has a linux command-line version of their vpn client, which I've used under RH9 and Fedora. It's available from their website, but you need a support contract number or other authorization to get in (which your business probably has). Following URL gets you as far as the registration page:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/secursw/ps2308/tsd_products_support_series_home.html
You may want to ask your IT guy for help in getting the info needed for a download. As the previous poster mentioned, you will need a .pcf file configured for your servers. The plain-text file used by the windows client will work as-is, so you just need to fish around inside a windows box at your work for the right file.
