TV card help please

Need help in getting my Hauppauge TV card working in Linux.
It's supposed to be supported but can't get it to work in iether SuSE 7.1 or debian.
In SuSE kwintv actually scans my channels and reports the right number of channels on my cable system, but I can't get any picture.
It works under windows so i know the card is installed correctly.
Any ideas?

Have you already tried to use xawtv?

Assuming you already have the proper modules installed, are you sure you selected the proper input and frequency table? I've never used kwintv so I'm not sure how configuration works with it but its fairly straightforward with xawtv.
