I have sendmail working on my PC and I am unable to telnet or ssh into my box from work (firewall issues) to check my e-mail. What I would like is to be able to check my mail over the web. I need a suggestion on what to use to do this if it is possible.

Thanks....

Im working on setting up a sendmail/uw-imap/squirrelmail/apache box w/ openssl.

some alternatives for imap are courier-imap and cyrus-imap.

all three imap daemons seem to work well w/ squirrelmail.

openssl can be an added security feature since you can't use ssh.

I'm using the nullsoft webmail cgi, with apache and sendmail. Click the graphic of a mailbox in the middle of my page for a looksee. This setup is about a year old, now, works without issues. www.raymondjones.net (http://www.raymondjones.net)

J-tek, thanks for the squirrelmail thought. I want to use that but can't get IMAP set up correctly (can't even start it). I have an imapd daemon in /usr/sbin/ and I think it's the uw-imap but am not sure. How do I set imap up and more importantly how do I start it??

Thanks is advance..
