ProMepis doesn't see my router

Hi all,
Last night I installed a router, it is NOT a wireless! My main box works great, no connection problems at all. The second box has ProMepis on it, and my guess is that it has to be manually configured. The reason I say that is, ProMepis will NOT connect to the internet, but when I drop my BeatriX live cd in, it connects with no problem. I have no idea what to do next . Any thoughts on this?
The ProMepis box is a:
HP Pavilion 6630
500 MHz Celeron
192 MB ram
10 GB hard drive

Looks like you need to enable dhcp for your ethernet card. Try searching your distros documentation for network setup.
