I have Mandrake LInux 7.2 installed with Windows ME..in the grub operating system chooser the default is linux if I don't press any keys in like 5 seconds, how do I set it to booot into windows by default instead?

Heres what you do,
open your favourite editor (mines pico), go to /boot/grub and edit the file called menu.1st you will see your boot menu listed. simply change the default from Linux to Windows or whatever grub has called it, you can also change the 5 seconds delay there as well.
you will probably have to be root to do this,
