if anyone knows if there are any certain anti virus programmes for linux.

i came across something here which discussed the unnecessity for an anti virus programme for linux recently. but never had the chance to digest into it. so if anyone out there knows anything abt it do let me on it!

thanx everybody.

You don't really need an antivirus program because there aren't really any viruses for Linux. We're not common enough for people to make us viruses yet. <g>

McAfee VirusScan (www.mcafee.com) is available for Linux. It's not free, though, and doesn't have a GUI - you just set it off in the background and forget about it.
