Whats a good free Linux irc server? Or any easy-to-use IRC server for Linux.

i actually used to have a irc server called ircd set up. that wasn't too hard to set up.

Also there is dancer irc server.

it's in debian. I think that's what they are currently using for openprojects.net

not sure how easy it is to use. i doubt it's too tough.

I have had excellent experience with PTlink. A friend and I tried to network our boxes, but failed to do so. However, as a single server, it has all the things you would want from an ircd, including services.
