I'm running a straight-out install of Red Hat 7.0 (selected "install everything" in installer). Can I use the new 2.4.4 kernel with this distro? I need the On-board SiS chipset stuff it provides...

Check the readme files included with the kernel for more information. But you should be able to do it just fine. Antho 05-03-2001, 05:33 PM I upgraded a box that was running RH7.0 to 2.4.4 with no probs whatsoever. linuxluis 05-03-2001, 05:35 PM I did the same thing, update a box 7.0 to 7.1 everything when fine. But the only trouble i had was with my ssh . I reinstalled it, but if you have any program that you dont want to miss up dont install it . tux :cool: justlinux.com
