Wow, quite impressive. I doubt anything would break as jpync and bproffit seem to be pretty on top of things here. :)

Hmm, I wonder if they were when they said they would invite all users to a cocktail party for the occasion. :D

I seem to recall that... drinks on the house right? Yeah, that seems to ring a bell.

Yeah, now we just gotta find the house... I guess there's a reason why Brian wouldn't tell his private home address even to the mods. :D

Huh?

And I think a JL party sounds like a great idea. We could probably find a stadium somewhere that would hold us all.:)

Or we could do a web conference party. Everyone hooks up a web cam and we all watch each other get drunk remotely.:D

Well, I sent him a PM, I hope that takes care of his question.

Yeah, but I'm being more careful about jumping to conclusions after a mod on another forum locked one of my posts without reading it (apparently) and gave me links to sites that didn't answer my question. I was not happy, but apparently he has PMs turned off and I thought e-mailing him might piss him off.

Actually that sort of thing just happened to me again yesterday. I e-mailed a company's tech support and didn't get a response for a long time. I sent a follow-up e-mail and got back "WHAT DO YOU NEED?" (their caps). I'm pretty sure if they had read the e-mail they would have known what I needed.

Come to think of it, you're probably not even reading this forum post are you? Don't deny it. I've caught on to your little scheme. And you know what, it's not going to work. I'm just going to keep sending messages and such and thinking that people actually read them until they actually do. So there.:p

Sorry to disappoint you, but three months ago Brian gave us this nice AI-Answer-O'-Ma-Tron. It's just a 3 KB module to the kernel and answers silly threads while I am away in the garden observing birds in the trees, watching the clouds approaching from the west, counting the raindrops falling onto the street...

I guess I'm a little suprised that no one has asked about the significance of 65535 yet.

I know there's at least a few people on this forum that have no idea. (blackbelt_jones included) :)

That sounds like the mdwatts bot that was suggested last year at about this time. Nice to see it was implemented.;)

Google for it and you will receive various answers. I have no clue, though, which one Sepero is refering to.

O.K. I'll bite. Whats the significance of 65535?Basically just a friendly hacker poke at JL.com. 65535 is the highest number(u_int) that can be stored by 2 bytes of data. In hexidecimal, it is represented by FFFF. Once it goes higher than that, it will require 3 bytes.

Just for fun:
The highest amount that can be stored by 3 bytes is 16,777,215. (FFFFFF)
