I've posted this question before but we're still stuck. A friend and I are loading a p5-75 AT&T laptop with 16mg ram and a 500mg hdd, and a flop and no cdrom.
We put a 10/100 nic in it and tried to setup an NHS install. It appears everything is shared correctly, and the user has the appropriate rights, but obviously we're missing something. We get an access denied message.
What are we overlooking here? PLEASE HELP.

Does the host system have the appropriate directory exported? Check in /etc/exports - if you need help with the format, do man exports.

Any other idas out there. The only thing keeping me fom putting linux on y laptop is that it does not have a cdrom, and we get the access denied error on nfs.
Will a backpack cdrom work on it?
How can I get around or find the source of, the access denied error?
Thank You guys, very much for all the help!!
