I can't wait for my cds to arrive. I like the fact that they are now offering a 2.6 kernel as a boot option during installation. Thanks for the info trc.

Has anyone actually received the CD's from Slackware yet? I have a subscription and haven't seen the charge to my account yet. It seems strange that they say on their site that their subscription customers are the first to get a new release, but fail to live up to that claim.

i generally see my CDs a week or 2 after the official release, my guess is that they mean they ship the subscribers CDs before they ship any other CDs, but the isos still get released online right away

Work system is already upgraded, but I have been holding off on my install at home until I get the new cds, less to download.

IMHO, the test26.s kernel on the install disk is the #1 improvement in this release. I actually emailed pat a couple weeks ago (when he started the rc testing), asking if that was going to be a feature...He actually emailed me back within a couple hours confirming it.

Slackers! go enjoy being able to install it on your sata drives!!! :D
