How do I make a program always run when I startup my XWindows (KDE or GNOME) session?

If you loging into the command line and then startx, you can use you ~/.xinitrc file, have a look at this search (http://www.justlinux.com/forum/search.php?searchid=16969). If you login via kdm,gdm, then KDE and Gnome both have GUI tools for setting programs to auto load, for kde (http://www.justlinux.com/forum/search.php?searchid=16970). Gnome as far as I remember has startup programs option in the Sessions menu.
