I've been using lynx to download some large files. I was thinking that lynx would simply put them into a)my home directory or b)the current directory.

Apparently, it's putting them in neither. I don't know where they're going. Trying to do a find, but no luck (find is slooooooow on a 486)...I tried this on two different machines, same thing.

Anyone know what the default lynx download directory is?

Try (as root) #locate -u

That'll take a while.

Then (as user) do: locate <name of dl'd file>.

It should show the path to the file.

lynx will ask you where you want to save the file. So where you save it is where it will be.
