I got a win2000 and red hat 7.0 dual boot. Can't boot to linux unless i use the boot disk, and then i only get to full screen shell!? What happened the the GUI. I want to boot the the gnome thing? HELP! Is there some secret code word i have to type somewhere?

Yes there is, edit /etc/inittab and change this line:
id:3:initdefault:
to
id:5:initdefault

Now when you reboot X will boot up instead of the CLI.
If you don't feel comfortable editing config files yet then you can just type 'Linux 5' at the LILO prompt to boot into X. Hope this helps.

Hmmm... doesn't lilo works? What's the problem with your dual boot?
