Samba and RH7.1

Hi,
Anyone out there have any success in getting Samba and Rh7.1 to work? Is there any special settings? I am having some problems with samba.My win machines can see the server but when I click it, I will get an error "\\bart is not accessible". I copied a smb.com file from my Rh6.2 which is working perfectly but the result is still the same. Help me pleaseeeeeeee.

I to had trouble getting Samba to configure right under RH7.1 I ended up using webmin to do it. Go to http://www.webmin.com to get the rpm for redhat. I hope it works for you as well as it did for me.

Had the same problem. It is caused by your firewall settings. If you're not security concious, just take ipchains out of your startup services (use Services in the kontrol-panel found on you desktop). If you are, edit your /etc/sysconfig/ipchains file, or use some other app to make changes to your firewall settings. Make sure that ports 138-139 are open.
