i have recently aquired a compaq prosignia 200 scsi server. I am attempting to install slackware 10.0 It powers on correctly and boots from the disk but i am having a hard time adding the partions. are the device id's different for scsi, because i tried cfdisk /dev/hda but it didn't work

any suggestions

im assuming your using one of the scsi kernels

and

yes they will be /dev/sda /dev/sdb etc

what would be a good scsi kernal to choose that is on the disc

you might wanna do some research, because I think it depends on what controller you are using.


edit* scan down and it will give you a list of which scsi kernel to use

kool thnx man i got it working and it is a bit slow but hey what do you expect fromm a POS 200mhz com. eh
