So, I installed Kooldock, because I thought it looked cool. Well it doesn't run so well and I want to get rid of it. But if I kill it and try to run Kicker I get a message saying kicker is already running. And in the "Configure Desktop" menu there is no option to turn the kicker back on.
Help!

I don't really have a solution here, but I am a little puzzled about whatever happened to your old Kicker. When I was using Kooldock, I had BOTH Kooldock and the standard Kicker running at the same time. I set Kooldock to autohide on the bottom edge, while the standard Kicker was set to autohide on the top edge.
I didn't have any problems getting rid of Kooldock when I got tired of the resource wasteage.
Maybe you have Kooldock and Kicker both running; maybe they're both set to auto-hide along the bottom edge?

Thanks for the input.
I actually just went into my .kde file and deleted the KoolDock script from the Autostart file, I tweaked something else too that I can't remember now that I'm at the office, but whatever it was it was obvious because I'm not much of a hacker.
Then I restarted KDE and it used the default settings and started the kicker right up.
Thank God for default settings. :)
