Dial Up problem

Okie here is my problem:

I am dialing up with KPPP on a redhat7 system. I dial up to my ISP it connects but then I Ping somthing and the transmit light on my modem blinks but I dont get anything back. When I Ctrl-C it says I sent the packets but they were all lost.

Any ideas?

umm, try a different dialer, like wvdial (http://www.worldvisions.ca/wvdial/). I remember those dial-up days, those sucked, but now I'm on a university backbone, woohoo! (uhh, sorry, had to brag)
