Hello, this is my first post. I recently downloaded some software updates for Suse9.1 Pro form one of the mirror sites, and now the yast2 module will not start up.
Under the KDE desktop, I select the yast2 icon, get the start box that says "run as root KDE su" asking for the password to run yast2. I supply the password, & it accepts it, but yast never loads. I tried logging in as root, with the same result, yast wont fire. Any suggestions?
Thanks
cynicaljim

Ok, Here is the error messages: "warning: the qt frontend is installed but does not work.
warning: the ncurses frontend is installed, but does not work. You need to install yast-ncurses to use the YaST2 text mode interface"

I have done a little further reseach & found that the ncurses library needs to be reinstalled. new question, if yast isn't working what's the best way to do this?
