skype problem on FC3 (I hear but I am not being heard)

Hi,
I have o problem running skype 1.1.0.3 on my fc3 box (2.6.11-1.14_FC3) .
It connects to skype network, I can here the others but I am not being heard.
I think the microphone runs ok because I can here myself in boxes when I increase the volume from the microphone.

Any Idea?

anyway, we need more specific details about your computer and your problem.

For example, you sound card make and model, and if its integrated in your motherboard, say so and tell us your motherboard model too.

And you say your microphone is fine, but I still don't get what you mean. I need more elaboration to get your idea.

Finally, we will still try to help you, but we really need the info before we can continue

did you try looking under the skype configuration options to see if there is something you can do to configure your microphone?

I have only a configuration problem. I am sure there is only a configuration problem because I could use the mic and skype with another install of fc3 on the same computer some time ago.

I say that the mic is working because I can hear myself breathing on it and speaking, so mic throughput works fine.
Audacity doesn't record anything. The other skype user doesn't hear what I am talking, only I can hear myself.

I tried to play with alsamixer, the mic is checked on. Anyway, alsamixer has mic, mic capt, and mic as center. Mic as center looks disabled. The other two are enabled.


The sound card is not onboard.

Card: C-Media PCI CMI8738-MC6
Chip: CMedia PCI


Any ideas?
