I've read a lot of heated discussions about the different Linux distributions. Why this on sucks and the other one rules. I myself posted some negative comments about one distro and people came back saying how much they liked it. Then I posted positive comment about another one and people were ready to say how bad it was. And that made me realize what a great OS Linux is. You don't have to deal with a "one-size-fits-all" solution. A lot of people use their computer for a lot of different purpose on a lot of different hardware and with Linux, you can find the right distro for you.
Try that with Windoze! Not much choice there. The only real advantage it has is the availability of desktop applications, you can't argue with that. But I hope that will change soon now that Borland released Kylix and developers have a higher-level tool. (By the way, if you know an accounting package for Linux, let me know. That would cut my last tie with Billy Boy). :o
So enjoy your favorite Linux distro and help this community grow...

The two that are out there, are gnucash (part of GNOME) and kapital from www.theKompany.com (http://www.theKompany.com) (a private KDE developer).

Both seem to work pretty well.
