I just installed Samba, and got it working with windows sharing files through linux. Now, I'm wanting to get like a network neighborhood type deal for linux so that I can see all the windows shares. Is there a way to do this? Do I have to mount everybody else's shared resources?

Thanks,
Jason Bush

LinNeighborhood displays all "hidden" shares also.

ok, but before I install any of these programs, do I have to mount the shared resources, or will it automatically probe and do it for me

In LinNeighborhood it mounts shares when you want it to. Double-clicking on a share will ask whether you want to mount, as what user, password....etc. You don't have to mount the shares before hand if that is what you were asking.
