I just installed mandrake8.0 on my laptop, with XFree864.0.3

I heard X4.0.3 has anti aliasing opetion, how do I set that? I really need it for netscape and konqueror browsing! As I am typing this, I can barely read the fonts.

Under [Configuration] -> [KDE] -> [Look 'N Feel] -> "STYLE", there's a box to click for anti-aliasing.

However, if you're having problems reading the fonts, antialiasing probably isn't going to help much. You might have to change the default system fonts.
Under [Configuration] -> [KDE] -> [Look 'N Feel] -> "FONTS", you can change the font and size for everything from desktop, title bar, etc.etc.

check out my post in How I did it. It should be a good starting point to make fonts better. And it seems that NS 4.76 is pretty much a lost cause.
