problems setting up email

I used the howto on gentoo-wiki

Did I miss a step in the mysql part or something? I added everything listed in the howto

ok i got those problems worked out, but when i do vadddomain then vadduser it tells me login failed all the time. any ideas?

The error tells me that either MySQL is not running or you got the database name incorrect...just my guess

the users are all in the database vpopmail.vpopmail. i cant figure out why its not working. and now it wont even let me try to connect via pop3

so noone knows about this? hasnt anyone here setup vpopmail and qmail before? i just need this one little thing and i think ill have my server running
