I think the magazine closed down a while ago... I seem to remember someone starting a petition to not close it down. I don't know the result though.

I had a (charter) subscription to it for a year before I decided not to renew. I guess it's a Good Thing (tm) I didn't.

...unlike the 2+ years of subscription I had left when Amazing Computing/Amiga vanished without a trace a few years ago. :mad:

Don't fork out the money for a subscription unless the magazine is well established and don't signup/pay for a 1 year contract with isp's.

Learnt the isp leason the hard way a few years back.

Maximum Linux, along with 4 or 5 other Imagine magazines were canned right after the latest MaxLinux shipped. If you subscribed, about the only thing you can do is call/email their service department (This is why I never subscribe).

Well, i didn't have a subscription i just bought it at compusa. So, the april/may issue was the last one ? Too bad, i really liked the magazine...

Yep, the mag was fairly good, but Imagine closed a bunch of mags back in Feburary. Imagine is supposed to be switching the subscriptions of anyone still subscribed to something else.

Yep this is old news (back in Dec. or Jan. I think the word went out), sorry if you lost out on the cash.

I think Open magazine will be next and very soon so if you have a subscription, my advice would be to try to get your money back and if you like the mag buy it at the store.

The magazine is loaded with ads for their own sites (can't stay in business on that), they use VERY EXPENSIVE paper and graphics, and how many subscriptions do you think they had/have? I would bet ALOT less than Maximum Linux had--considering Maximum Linux was fathered by BOOT magazine (the best hardware/software/tuning/overclocking rag ever).

So Max Linux had a previous following...eh you get the drift....
