I'm on a relatively fresh install of Slackware 10.0, and I have intermittent problems scrolling with the mouse wheel. I have X configured properly as far as I know, and the wheel works properly in general.
The problem is that occasionally when I spin the wheel to scroll a window, the CPU usage jumps to around 50%, the cursor changes to that default "X" cursor, and the window locks up for a second or so before the scroll action starts.
It happens most frequently in Mozilla, but then that's when I'm scrolling most frequently. Grabbing and pulling the scrollbar in a window does not produce the same effect. I am using E16 for a WM.
Any diagnostic tips would be appreciated...
