i was just a wondering, i am on a LAN at home and one of the computers has a shared internet connection that we can all access in the other os (windows) and i was wondering weather i could take advantage of this whilst i am in linux, i don't know how to configure my network card in linux all do know is that it is a Dlink card and it is ISA (sorry). so if it is possible what do i have to do ?? oh and i am running mandrake 7.1 and using KDE thanks for all of your help with this matter :)

To restrain from making a long winded post..

I would suggest turing it around and using the Linux box as the proxy. Check out something like pmfirewall or another program that allows easy forwarding, firewall, ip sec, etc, setup. Look on linuxdoc.org for the various doc's on simple network interface set up. Learn to use ifconfig.
