Hey, anyone know if there's a way to write files to an SD card in a Palm PDA from Linux? I've checked out KPilot and JPilot, but I haven't found any way to do it in either of them. I'd rather not have to buy a card reader (cheap though they may be) if I can help it, and even the Windows sync software sucks badly at transferring files to the SD card. I've heard other Windows software does it better though, so I'm hoping Linux has something too. Thanks.

Card Export works great for Windows is all I know. I would love to find a working Linux solution.

Im not aware of any way to write to the SD card through the Palm in Linux. It works in Windows (albiet slowly), but not in Linux.
You can sync the PDA easily nowadays, and you can write/read the card with a card reader. Its more convient anyways.
I have a Lexar JumpDrive Trio and I carry it everywhere so I can plug my MS from my Palm into any USB computer.

Hey, good news. First, I bought myself a card reader, but it's not here yet. So I looked into this one more time, and it appears that the new pre-release version of pilot-link (0.12) supports writing to SD cards. AFAIK there's no GUI way yet, but from the command-line you can do something like "pilot-xfer -i filename.jpeg -D DCIM -p /dev/pilot". The -D DCIM tells it which directory on the card to install it to. It doesn't appear to be any faster than the Windows sync (which is painfully slow for my 512 MB card), but it appears to be working.
Just thought I'd let everyone know.
Edit: It does appear that the pilot-link transfer is faster than the Windows one after all. I think it's going to finish my 100 meg transfer in less than two hours, which is more than Windows could say.:)
