Alot of you out there helped me get through the reformating and partioning of my hd. Thank you! I now have a dual boot win/RH sys! One of these days (when my RH is configured properly) Ill get rid of Win.

Now onto my next Q:

Im using a Nvidia GeForce2 GTS that supports 32 bit color. However when installing RH 7.2, during the x config stage, it will only recognize up to 24bit color. Every time I go into XF86Config-4 and gedit the file to 32 bit color it completely screws up my system. I cant log back in when I log out because "no screen was detected..."

It might be helpful if I could get a screen shot showing your RH 7.2 screen resoulution section in the XF86Config-4 file. I might be able to copy what you have and get it working properly.

I dont know whats wrong. 7.2 WILL NOT recognize the fact that my hardware can support 32 bit color. In /, I used xf86config. When it came to 'entering an identifier for my monitor, graphic card' I press 'enter' for default. I seriously dout this would prevent RH allowing 32 bit color.

I looked at the card database. I have the original manual which states that I have Creative 3D Blaster Annnihilator 2 which uses the GeForce 2 GTS. The only close choices I could find on the list were Creative Labs Graphics Blaster 3D or the Nvidia GeForce2 GTS. Neither gave me the option to use 32 bit colors. I put in the video memory in Kbytes correctly...32768. In the end I was given 5 choices for color depth 24 bits (16 million colors) was the best... I also used the 'setup' / 'xconfiguration' but that didnt help. Am I doing something wrong? :confused:
