System runs configure when I try to compile

I am attempting to setup a web server, and anytime that I run make after the configure process, all it does is loops forever running configure. Anybody have any ideas why this may be?

It's stuck in some sort of wierd configure problem. Try looking through the configure/make scripts to identify problems. If this type of thing isn't your specialty, try posting any information about your system (hardware, distro, special setups, etc.) that you can, so we can help better.
