Check this new, is in spanish, if somebody find this new in english please post it:

Cinco grandes de la tecnología apoyan a la UE contra Microsoft (http://www.jornada.unam.mx/2005/abr05/050407/027n2eco.php)

En efecto, a principios de noviembre, el grupo informático Novell y la asociación profesional Computer and Communication Industry Association (CCIA) habían retirado su apoyo a la UE tras haber cerrado acuerdos financieros con Microsoft.

In other words, it says that Novell and this association (CCIA) will eventually supports everything that Microsoft wants.

Sadly, isn't it?

It seems to be related, but not the same story, it's strange that bablah.com posted that today when the full story they quoted from on eweek.com is 6 months old. Besides what is bad about that story is that Novell and the CCIA are no longer supporting the anti-trust case against Microsoft.

Back to the original post, The Register recently had a story (http://www.theregister.co.uk/2005/04/06/ecis_ms_eu_antitrust/) which I think is about the same thing although in less detail. And from what I can tell it seems like a good thing as this group, the ECIS, is coming in to support the EU anti-trust case against Microsoft.

I did run the original link through babelfish for a translation (a bad one, but I could just about make sense of it) and I didn't reach quite the same conclusion, the bit about Novell and the CCIA is refering to the settlement in November which is background information to the news involving the ECIS which you seemed to skip in your summery. My view isn't that Novell and the CCIA are supporting Microsoft (although Microsoft did become a member of the CCIA after the settlement, so that will obvoiuly play a part in the CCIA future actions), but just that they would no longer oppose Microsoft, I could be wrong though.
