Gaim - SignOn question

Browser - Yahoo

I'm running Gaim as IM. I have already registered a ScreenName But each time "sign on" following warning displayed

"You have entered an invalid Screen Name or password. Please try again. If you are an AOL member and you also use AOL Instant Messenger with the same Screen Name, you must use your AOL password at Screen Name Service instead of your AIM password. If you are not an AOL member and you've forgotten your password, click 'I forgot my password'"

The ScreenName and Password entered were correct. I tried several times. I also tried to re-open a new account with the same ScreenName but not allowed saying the ScreenName already existing.

Kindly advise how to fix this problem.

Click the "I forgot my password" link and follow directions. Perhaps you changed your password and forgot, or did it on accident, or have a vindictive ex girlfriend, etc.

Never hurts to change your password from time to time anyways.

Also check for silly things like if your caps lock is on. Passwords are case-sensitive.

I've had the problem where the case and spaces were not working so for example,

your pass is: Dogma 563

you might have luck entering it like : dogma563

Tks for your advice.

I'm aware of case sensitive and have tried several times. One thing appearing strange to me is clicking "forgot password" an advice popup saying password being mailed to me. But it never came. The email address is corret.

How are you sure the email address in your account info is correct if they dont tell you the information about the user to people without the password?

Changed your email address since you opened the account?
