What do you guys think of Ximian Gnome? Is it worth it? And overall, what is it (other than another company's rendition of Gnome)? What makes it better than the standard Gnome (1.4 in MDK8.1)?
I installed it on my Q3 server, and it seems pretty cool (if nothing else it looks pretty :D ). Would it be useful for me if I manually update my programs regularly (thru RH/MDK update programs, etc.) I really like the red carpet service, and it seems pretty up-to-date. I'm considering using it when I need to reformat again. But before doing it, what do you guys think?
