SuSE 9.2 KDE 3.4 je_fro 03-27-2005, 12:11 PM Make an icon somewhere that points to : xscreensaver-demo Hayl 03-27-2005, 01:34 PM i think he wants it to lock the screen, not load the prefs dialog box. if it's xscreensaver then you can use: xscreensaver-command -lock xscreensaver-command will give you the rest of the commands you can do with xscreensaver. if KDE doesn't use xscreensaver then i don't know how to do it, unless they were nice enough to make their own screenaver app controlable like xscreensaver is. Pafnoutios 03-27-2005, 02:30 PM Unless 3.4 is much different than 3.3, which is what I have, when I right-click on the toolbar, I can select Add>Applet>Lock/Logout Applet that puts two buttons on my toolbar which I used to keep next to my clock, but I just realized I never use them, so I've moved them to the left side of my K-Menu. nikodell 03-28-2005, 06:15 PM xscreensaver-command is the one to use thanks for the help I just looked at man xscreensaver-command and now have my working Icon. justlinux.com
