I currenty manage (2) Win2K servers. I want to replace them with CentOS 4 (RHEL clone) If someone could give me a little direction as to the names of the packages to replace my existing ones with open source ones, I'd really appreciate it.

Win2K Svr --> CentOS4
Exchange Svr --> OpenLDAP???
Active Directory --> ?????
Distributed FS --> ?????

I use active directory to manage site-wide logins, DHCP, and DNS

Exhcange server hosts company contacts and local mailboxes. Due to our lack of a high-speed internet connection, users dial up to the net and download their email to the Exch server. A few employees need access to each others' mailboxes. We don't use any of the meeting scheduling capabilities of outlook, just email and contact managemnt. Though, I'd like to entertain the possibility later.

I use distributed file system to automatically replicate the shared file systems to a backup DC.

Security is not a high priority (internally) as I'm the only one that knows how to do anything other than clicking the start menu.

Unfortunately, I'll still need to use windows clienets. The final configuration will be a complete replacement of the Windoze boxes. Any info as to where to begin will be a great help!

TIA!

Exchange Svr --> Lotus Notes (there are many others but this is my favorite.)

Thanks! I'll check into that. I failed to mention that I was looking for open source apps. Reason is I'm the only sys admin at work, and that accounts only for 25% of what I do. If I have open souce apps, I can run them at home.

Thanks!!

Lotus Notes is definitely not Open Source, so I guess that is out.
