I cant seem to get this plugin to work. It says to Make a symbolic link to libjavaplugin_oji.so in your Mozilla Plugins directory in the instructions. How do I do this? I tried copying the .so file to the plugins directory but that didnt do anything. The automated installer does not work either.

I am using suse 9.2

Any help is always appreciated :)

Make sure you create a symlink to the proper plugin, if you are using gcc 2.95 you need the plugin from /usr/lib/jre_version/plugin/i386/ns600/libjavaplugin_oji.so, if you have gcc v3.x you need the plugin from /usr/lib/j2re_version/plugin/i386/ns610-gcc32/libjavaplugin_oji.so

You were on the right track, but instead of copying the file itself to the plugins directory, you need to create a symlink to it.

If you use the actual Suse java and firefox rpms it should work automatically.

Links?

I dont think there is a firefox 1.0.1 RPM for SuSE?

I have the SuSE Java RPM installed......

I tried this sym link but not luck....

ln -s /usr/java/jre1.5.0_01/plugin/i386/ns7/libjavaplugin_oji.so\/home/higginz/.mozilla/firefox/plugins/

Up to date Mozilla RPMs are always available at ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/projects/mozilla/ .

Mozilla, Firefox, and Thunderbird RPMs are all current. Suse users, bookmark that URL.

Hehe thanks :) I forgot to reply back before but I did find the RPMs and updated Firefox and everything worked perfect. I still had to make the sym link however but everything works great now :) I love this browser its nice :)
