I just loaded Red Hat 9 v2.4.20 on a Dell with a PII. The install went well and it boots up OK, but I am unable to get it to connect to the internet. I am using a Belkin F5D6231-4-APL wireless router at the cable company's modem connected to this computer and a Belkin F5D6050-APL is on the USB port on the Dell. It worked fine under Win98, but Red Hat just won't see it. The hardware browser sees the USB bus OK, but the network configuration utility shows it inactive. I select the USB (eht1) and click on the "activate" button and get an error message: "Cannot activate network device eth1!" and in the box below: "CDCEther device eth1 does not seem to be present, delaying initialization." The driver loader rpm is installed and it should be able to see the F5D but it doesn't. So, what am I missing?

A very perplexed
