I just installed red hat 7.2 and got the weirdest problem.
In my house we have a win2k server with dhcp. During the installation I set red hat to receive ip from dhcp. When I boot up it says : DHCP_NAK server responce received. It says that 8 times .. then I get an error message saying the ip for eth0 failed.
I just had suse installed .. and I`ve also had slackware .. and both of them got the ip and the network worked great. Any ideas ?

Just noticed this:
I have a 3com905B network card, but the driver says 3c59x .. does this have anything to say ?

The 3c59x driver is correct, it is used for the 509B and the 59x models. It sounds like the card isn't looking at the Win2k box for its IP. You should probably re-check your basic network settings again. If you need assistance, post a more detailed description of your network.
