i have set telnet in inetd.conf (mandrake)
and when i try to reach my telnet from my Windows system i won't work, he said Connection Refused... error blaaht..

can it be that IPChains hold something ? or not? i had set that 192.168.1 range is allowed too request something in my network for IPmasq.

please let me know what is the correct setting for telnet acces.

You will feel extremly stupid when I tell you this. I know I did when I figured this out. You need to install the telnet server as well as the telnet client on your system. Check your install disks for the telnet server prog.

i have only a CDR of Mandrake 7.2 , none diskettes.... plz help :

On the first Mandrake CD install the xinetd rpm and the telnet-server rpm. restart your inetd and you should be all set.

i tried , but when i would like too install these packages , he will ask for another one , and when i try these , he ask for another one ..... etc....
(python etc... )
