um um,this is a little embarrassing but i have libranet1.9 when i type my user and password i get my user name and a promt, so what do type next to get in, i know this debian linux but does it have a GUI like kde or something,i'm still very new to linux so don't laugh to loud folks

type startx to start X.

if you want graphical login, edit /etc/inittab and change the runlevel from 3 to 5.

If 'startx' doesn't work and generates error messages, then X probably has not been configured correctly.

Post the error messages here and someone will try to assist you with setting up X. You can also search the appropriate forums for the error in hopes of finding a solution quicker.
